Short Description:

PYRENONE^® is a synergized pyrethrin formulation for ULV adulticide applications. PYRENONE 25-5 is an oil based formulation which contains 0.367 lb pyrethrin and 1.83 lb of synergist Piperonyl Butoxide (PBO) per gallon. PYRENONE Crop Spray is an emulsifiable concentrate which contains 0.5 lb pyrethrin and 5 lb of synergist PBO per gallon, which provides the highest pyrethrin to PBO ratio of 1:10. PYRENONE is labeled for both aerial and ground ULV treatment in a very broad range of use sites.

Mode of Action:

Pyrethrin affects the sodium channel at nerve axon. Interferes with nerve function causing repeated and extended misfiring of nerve impulses, causing quick paralysis and knockdown. PBO has no insecticidal activity, but has synergistic properties when combined with pyrethrin, allowing less pyrethrin to be required to produce mortality.

Where/When to use:

Approved for urban, rural, residential, agricultural areas, cropland, wetland, recreational areas, etc. Very broad range of use sites. No crop restrictions, however, not certified for organic crops.
